asked about the status of my passport weeks ago. There was supposed to rely to me in 3 days on my email site. Not a reply yet. What is going on?
Hello Carol,
As far as we know, there is a lot of back log, many people have not received their call back on time. Best option is to try to call again and keep following up. They seems to only deal with pressing urgent case, those who are travelling withing 3 business days.

Hello Laura,
It is definitively a frustrating situation. We have receive some tips that passport application can visit a local Service Canada centre to get help on transferring their passport application directly to a local Service Canada Passport Services local processing office. You might want to give that a try. As far as we know, Passport Canada only focus on processing applications that are travel date 45 days and under.

HELLO,
I submitted my passport application RENEWAL package by mail in July. I have not received it. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
hi,
You need to contact the passport office directly to find out the status of your application. The only update now is that they seems to have caught up with the processing delay and has changed the processing timeframe back to 20 business days.

I sent mine, my son and Daughters passport applications together at the end of June. I received all 3 back in the mail to have some things signed and pictures retaken. I used express post on July 7 and received my daughters passport 2 weeks later. Still waiting on mine and my sons!!!! We travel on Dec 6 to the U.S. I’ve sent in 3 status requests!
hi Angela,
In extreme circumstances, you may want to pay a visit directly to the nearest passport office to request a transfer and expedite the request. That’s pretty much the only way to get your passport back sooner.

Submitting an online status request got me absolutely nowhere – no response.
I called 1-800-567-6868 listed above. The recording says 17 weeks processing time (not including delivery). I’m at 14 weeks right now so fingers crossed…..
I have my fingers crossed for you, but when I submitted my application in person back in June the lady said 7-9 weeks MAX processing time. It’s now been 23 weeks, almost half a year. And it’s still processing. It hasn’t even been shipped out yet.
I just want to know how it will be delivered, I received a Pick UP notice by Canada Post , is that how its delivered?
Hi Theresa,
Generally, you will have to sign off the package when received at home. If not, you will have to bring the delivery slip to your designated Canada Post office to pick up your passport.
